How to Find a Health Care Provider

Use the Find a Health Care Provider directory to find a provider that accepts Medicaid. Please contact the provider to make sure that the provider is accepting new Medicaid patients.

You can search for provider or group practice/hospital by Provider name, Provider type, location, language or gender.

Tip: You can combine search criteria. For example you can search for Provider Type and Distance. Not all provider types are returned on a search. For example, no dentist information is available.

To find a healthcare provider

Do one of the following:
- On the Directories menu, click Find a Health Care Provider.
- On the Quick Links pod, click Find a Health Care Provider.
The Find a Health Care Provider page is displayed.
Complete the appropriate fields according to the following:

To find a specific provider or a specific group practice/hospital, in the Provider Name Search panel, complete the fields.

Tip: You can enter a partial or phonetic name if you are unsure of the exact spelling.
To find providers that offer a particular medical specialty, or providers of a particular gender or speak a specific language, complete the Provider Type and General Preferences Search panel.
To find providers based on the location of their practice, on the Distance from Your Location Search panel, complete the fields.

Click Search.

All matching available providers are listed. To get directions, click the Map link for a provider to open MapQuest in a separate window.

Tip: Click a column heading to sort the table according to data in that column.

If no matching providers are found, click Reset to clear all fields and enter new search options.
